Hello All-

We have a wonderful month planned for us in February. Week 1 of February is all about sharing. We will be discussing different ways we can share and how our friends and family feel when we share with them and how they feel if we do not. We will be discussing the bible story Jesus feeds 5000. This story will reiterate our sharing unit since Jesus is able to feed 5000 people from just a few loaves of bread and a few fish since everyone shared what was available to them.

The letter for this week is P, so we will be discussing words that start with P and the P phonetic sound. We will be recognizing P and tracing P. This is all for our pre-reading skills.

We will also be busy getting ready for our Valentine's party next week!

We will be playing amatching game with name hearts and cereal boxes for our
print awareness skills, and be working on bigger and smaller and counting to 20 for our math skills.

Week of Transportation and our 50th day of preschool celebration!!

Hello!!!

The above pics are from our field trip to the Manhattan Airport on January 13th! The children were able to sit in a real airplane and even sit and hold the wheel. like they were controlling the airplane!

This week is going to be very exciting! We will be discussing all things about transportation. We will be singing and acting out an airplane song, making a car and train art craft, counting cars, trains and airplanes for our math skills.

We will also be celebrating our 50th day of school by wearing our "50 hats", donating 50 non-perishable food items to Flint Hills Breadbasket, stringing 50 fruit loops, and collecting 50 items for our "50 jar".

Our letter this week is Nn, so ofcourse we will be recognizing N, discussing words that start with N, the sound of N, and tracing Nn.

The bible story this week is Elisha/Chariot (2 Kings 6:17). So we will be discussing how Elisha reached Heaven using a chariot (mode of transportation). We will be singing swing low, swing chariot, and making our own chariot as well as our own sweet chariot book.

Teddy Bear Week!!!

Hello All!!

I hope you have had fun in the snow today!
UCC Preschool Academy runs on USD 383 Manhattan-Ogden School District, so if they are closed, then we will be closed as well.
This week we are doing all things teddy bear! We will be having a teddy bear picnic on Tuesday with our teddy bears, so dont forget those tomorrow! We will also be doing many many more fun activities with our teddy bears tomorrow.
Letter M is the letter this week, so we will be discussing the phonetic sounds, words and recognizing and tracing of letter Mm. This is helping us with our pre-reading skills.
For our math, we will be finishing up our Number Books and talking about more and less.
We will also be continuing the printing of our first and last names.

Thursday, we will be taking a field trip to the Manhattan Airport and getting ready for our transportation week next week.

HELLO PARENTS, GRANDPARENTS AND ALL OTHER VIEWERS!!!

WE ARE BACK IN ACTION AND READY TO HAVE FUN IN SCHOOL!!

JANUARY IS GOING TO BE A FUN MONTH AND WE HAVE LOTS OF FUN ACTIVITIES PLANNED FOR OUR KIDDOS!

THE FIRST WEEK- WE WILL BE HAVING FUN WITH WINTER AND SNOW! YES, WE DO NOT HAVE REAL SNOW OUTSIDE, BUT WE WILL MAKE OUR OWN THIS WEEK. WE WILL ALSO MAKE OUR OWN ICE SKATES AND SKATE INSIDE!!

WE WILL BE DISCUSSING THE LETTER L, RECOGNIZING, TRACING, PHONETIC SOUND OF L, AND ALSO WORDS THAT START WITH L.

WE WILL BE DISCUSSING THE BIBLE VERSE JOB 38:22-WHITE AS SNOW THIS WEEK.

WE WILL BE HANDS ON SOME GREAT ART PROJECTS THAT CONSIST OF SNOWFLAKES AND PENGUINS.

THIS WEEK WE WILL ALSO BE INTRODUCING THE PRINTING OF EACH CHILD'S LAST NAMES ALONG WITH THEIR FIRST NAME.
