School Has Begun!!!

Hello All!!!

Our first week has started and left us already! It was definately a success! I am enjoying the time I get to spend with each and every child. For this week our focus was School Time Rules and Moses and the 10 Commandments. We concentrated on school rules, shapes and colors, and the 10 commandments.

Our craft activities consisted of:

1. shapes mobile. (They are hanging from the ceiling in our classroom!)

2. 10 Commandment train

3. A Caterpillar of Colors

4. School Buses

5. Painting with sponge shapes

Activities that we worked on in the classroom:

1. Reviewing school rules

2. Counting from 1-10

3. Learning our rainbow colors

4. Learning our shapes

5. Recognizing our name on our cubbies and circle time mats

6. Starting to write our names (first only)

7. Scissor practice

8. Social skills

9. sharing

10. learning the "routine" of our school day
