Books, Books, Books Afternoon Class

Books are an important part of our classroom. Everyday students are given the opportunity to listen to stories, explore books on their own, or even help act out a story. The interactions that preschoolers have with books and print set the foundation for them to be avid readers in the future. Below is a listing of books that have been highlighted so far in our classroom. This list will be periodically updated. Many of these can be found in most local libraries.

Farm Animals:

The Cow that Went Oink by Bernard Most

Barnyard Banter by Denise Flemming

Cowboys:
How I Spent My Summer Vacation by Mark Teague

Do Cowboys Ride Bikes by Kathy Tucker

Seeds/Plants:

Johnny Appleseed by Christin Ditchfield

Flip, Float, Fly Seeds on the Move by JoAnn Early Macken

Zoo Animals:

Never Shout at the Zoo by Karma Wilson
